Here’s a badly parked car I encountered in a supermarket car park in Dundalk today (I was driving the yellow car - it’s not mine, but yes, I’m insured to drive it). I was originally going to park on the right hand side of the offending vehicle until I saw this, and the space on the left came free.
I dunno, - I reckon some people with either really nice cars or relatively new cars park BADLY so that people won’t park next to them…
… or yes, maybe they’re just shite drivers!

I've seen this a lot as well, I have a felling it's to do with the lack of respect people show to other peoples cars, smacking there doors off others as they get out. if the car is blocking 2 spaces then no one will park close enough to smack there cars, but I'm speculating.
Me, I make a habit these days of parking as far as possible away from any other cars in public car parks, which usually means a bit of walk to get to the shop or whatever, but hey, who doesn't need more excercise
I have to say the above is a remarkable piece of courteous parking. This guy is an amateur. But to see some REALLY shite parking, check out this lot from two of my own previous posts:
here and here.
wouldn't happen if the idiots that design car parks made the spaces big enough!! they squeeze in as many spaces as possible, and you have to park close to the far line in order to squeeze out the drivers side. It's ridiculous..and I'm not overweight and I drive a medium sized car.
Have to agree with 'the langer' on this. Sometimes also, when one shitbag parks over the line it means others have to also. Either that or you drive around for ages looking for a 'proper' space while somebody squeezez into the spot you refused out of principle!
That's actually one of the "better" scenes of "Shite Parking Skills" in this article
I have seen numerous cases (especially in Blanchardstown [dublin]) when people would park their car horizontally to the same layout, taking over three parking spaces by that single car
When i go back to Irishland this christmas and see it again - i'd post some photos up!

I always park exactly in between the lines. If someone then has about 1 inch to open their doos to get in, their problem.
