Plus everyone's so taken in by the beauty of Galway Bay, they just abandon their car and wander around in a daze. You wouldn't want to be in a hurry. But the main reason for blocking the entire coast road while you're aimlessly wandering around the Burren for a few hours? Who cares, sure I'm OK and that's all that matters. Between Ballyvaughan and Fanore on the coastroad you will see the biggest coaches you will ever see in you life. They should ban anything larger than a minibus; trying to squeeze past a huge full size luxury coach on some of the stretches was just unbelievable; lanes walled on either side, with a grassy ditch between, and your car & the coach just inches apart as you try not to slide into the ditch as you edge your way past. Then the next flippin coach 100 yards down. So, yeah, with you on that, take them off the wholly inadequate country roads.
