Check out this excellent post by Cian Ginty on his own blog. If a picture tells a thousand words, this post speaks volumes about some Dublin drivers’ total disregard for the rules of the road, pedestrians, cyclists and each other.

I've been to Romania, Italy, Croatia, Mexico, Morocco and a few other western and eastern European, African and other countries. And you see a fair bit of lunacy on the roads there. But for sheer selfishness, lack of observation and planning, oafishness, not watching what goes on around and just plain blocking other people so they can't move while they're not moving out of sheer spite (dare you not get ahead before me you little bollix) , the Irish are the absolute, undisputed, supremely ruling, no contest every time, champions of the Universe.
What is really frightening is that this is based on ONE HALF HOUR!!Multiply idiocies by 48 for a day!
I was at the RDS for the Coin Fair over the weekend and the traffic was just as bad as the one by the blog… too bad I didn't manage to get any photos though since most of them take place in seconds so i don't get enough time with my cam.
…which works out to 17,520 idiocies a year (not including another 48 from this year's 29-February)
now that explains why death rate are so damn high in ireland…
