So there I am outside the house , putting a new MP3, CD,DVD,BLAH BLAH BLAH, (why cant you just buy a simple wireless anymore!) in my nieces car bent over backwards between the seats and being “invaded” by either the gear or handbrake lever, neither would own up to it..!..so i’m hearing some vehicle coming up by me slowly and the sound of it stopping…….beep beep…i attempt to twist my head to see whats….beeping..oh no ,too late i’ve made eye contact…….so there i see the beep-ee, its a woman ,50′s maybe ,window half open beckoning me to come to the “SUV” ..(why am i not surprised)..I gesture “i’m kinda busy here” and point to her to come around to me where i may be able to assist her…In hindsight i would have been better off telling he to F**k off politely ,as her reaction was the same..she muttered some obsenity and stuck her two fingers up to me ,a nice lady i think you’ll agree.
The worse part for her though was the fact is I live in a cul de sac and she had to drive past me on the way out some time later..at this time i was standing beside the car and just smiled and nodded as she passed ..her expression was priceless…..Some times i think a smile has more effect than a string of foul language……

I drive for a living, six and sometimes seven days a week, so I thought I'd seen it all… But coming out of a housing estate in Roscommon town last thursday evening I saw something I'd never seen before. A resident of the estate was coming in off the main road driving a 98 Fiat Punto. He was towing a 96 Punto being steered by his wife. It in turn was towing a 96 Fiesta being steered by his 15 year old son ! Just like a train. All I could do was laugh…
I'd nearly say the Ford was "pushing" the Fiats ..if i did'nt know better…..!!!
