North Brunswick St/Church St Junction

I have been driving in Dublin for the past year and I am motivated to write an article regarding some particular instances of arrogance and ignorance on the streets of the capital. Take the junction of North Brunswick Street and Church Street. Coming down North Brunswick Street towards this junction, the road is two lane and one way, i.e. left lane for those turning right and right lane for those turning right so for example, if you are in the left lane, you can only turn left, up towards Phibsboro, and not right. My turn is right, with the majority of drivers doing the same. Yet nearly every morning, some some cheeky motorist from the left lane, instead of going left, goes right which is not only dangerous and unexpected, but seriously clogs up the box junction and delays those in the correct lane who can’t get onto the junction now. Just an example of deliberate bad driving. Anyone who knows this route will understand what happens here, all it should take is the odd Garda presence to deter people.

I can completely understand what you're talking about, it happens everywhere. And yes, the odd Garda would make a difference, but they then get DOGS abuse for "not doing a proper job" and "not catching the real criminals". I for one would be more than deligted to stand in these trouble areas with a camera and record everything, sit down later and go through it all and send out fines and the sort for the stupid people driving stupidly!  Give me the permission!!!
