What can we all Do?

I live in Newbridge Co Kildare. I have not seen a Garda on the main street of Newbridge for years.

Our house is in a 50km limit area. I know it’s low but drivers treat it like Mondello Park. People forget that there are people living on these streets – trying to get some peace & quiet.

From 7am the thump from car stereos is unreal and the noise from modified cars (Civics, Fiestas!!) is a joke. Would people favour a Traffic Watch same as Neigbourhood watch as the level of enforcement is a joke?

We need to help ourselves.

I suppose, other then throwing rocks at the cars as they go by which while it may feel satisfying :-P is insanely illegal, you could fight your local council to put up those massive speed bumps that wreck the chassis if you go over it too fast.
If you're waiting for the Gardai to get off their backsides & do anything I hope you're patient. It isn't going to happen any time in the near future. I wish you every luck. I really do hope you can get someone to do something.
