I reckon the use of video cars by the gardai would be really useful for enforcing road traffic laws. Every week the worst offenders could be shown on national TV like they do in the UK on shows like Police, Camera, Action.

It would be useful IF and only IF the gardaí are actually chasing the said offender and recording the driving; since as it is commonly accepted that the guards aren't really doing their job enforcing the driving rules and therefore actually going after the offenders and recording them would be even less likely if occur at all.
and also; most offences that people witness out on the irish roads take place miles from sight of gardaí anyway.
It would be pretty cool though to see the said offences people make on the roads live on TV.
