What fun do they get out of scaring the crap out of defenceless drivers! Please bare with me for the moment because I’m shaking like a leaf!
Everyone can see the beautiful dry weather we have here. As if! Traction is not great on a wet day! So when I’m driving into my estate (slowly thankfully) & I see a little boy bollix coming at me sideways around a corner on a day as wet as today of course I panic! God knows how I’m still here. Well at least I hope He does because I know I definitely don’t!
Please can anyone out there explain to me what the fun is in that? Who finds crap like this entertaining?
Well put it this way I’m saying it here & now if I ever see that car in here again he will be going out without a windscreen! & that’s a promise! These idiots deserve to be tied together & dropped in the middle of the ocean!
`- & before I get all the bleeding heart liberals shouting at me how they’re poor misunderstood children save it! I don’t want to hear any of it! That little piece of dirt nearly took myself & my 10 yr old daughter out! If I ever get my hands on him I’ll do time!

Thanks Niall for sorting this for me. Was so shaken at the time I wasn't able to think. A bit of an update on this I now only have my handbrake. When I slammed down on the brakes it seems they went. Loads of joy finding that out coming up to a downhill junction!
GN, you supply the tree and I will bring the rope. Its time to fight back!
ah, nothing like the smell of vigilantes in the morning
In all seriousness the comments made in this post scare me more than the driving it describes. (which I do no condone in any way)
I would strongly recomend the site administrators to pass this persons details to the nearest law enforcement officer, before this person is allowed to act out on these threats and Shitedrivers.com are implicated
No need to forward my details to any law enforcement George. My local station have my details because I rang them straight away about this. I also rang them back when I found out that I had no breaks. They said to me to get the details of the car the next time it's in the estate & to ring them. Word for word I said "You won't need any details, if I see this car again all you will have to do is look for the car with no windscreen!" At which point the Garda started laughing. He knew there were the ranting of an upset mother/driver who had just had 2 very close calls in the space of just over an hour thanks to some stupid little idiot! I have never been in trouble with the law & hope I never will. Had I got him last night I don't think I would have been as calm,no. & yes had I got him then I think I may have hurt him in all honesty. But I didn't! I have calmed down. & now the shock has set in when I see this this morning:

This web site should not be implicated in anyway in anything I or anyone else does. We are all grown ups here.
& in all honesty George had you been in the same situation with your young child in the car with you how would you feel? Would you go over & thank them?
If you want my details given to the Gardai no problem, you tell me what station you want my details in & I'll gladly ring them & give them any details they want!
Oh chill out george. Is it not better that people find an appropriate outlet for their anger and frustration at being treated like shite on our roads? At least on this website people can vent their fear anger etc without fear of retribution. Would you have preferred that they challenge the idiots at the time of the incident and put themselves at risk? Or would you suggest going to the Gardai to make a complaint? I have made 5 reports to the gardai in relation to things I have witnessed in the road. I have provided dates, times and reg numbers and guess what happened George????? NOTHING!!!! What do you suggest??
Conwest and Galway nutter you are both right but as for making a complaint to the Gardai, not a chance on that day, it was raining they don't do rain. Have you ever seen a copper out in the rain?
John
While ShiteDrivers.com does not condone violence against anyone (including shite drivers), it’s clear enough that the above posts are not exactly a “call to arms” as such.
If, however, enough people find certain comments offensive (that’s what the
button is for, people), action will be taken.
Fair enough if it's just venting, that wasn't the way the post came across to me when I read it, my bad
Believe me, when I tell you, I understand your frustrations with the way some people drive, I cover a minimum of 600 miles a week around the roads of Ireland and I've seen a lot of seriously bad driving.
I was sorry to see that photo of your car being taken away for repair but from the description you gave of the noise when you hit the break pedal it may be as simple as worn out brake pads, the sound of metal on metal, by any chance? I'd have a word with whoever serviced the car most recently if that's the case, they should have been checked and (at the very least) you made aware that they may need to be replaced shortly. Maybe there a market for shitegarages.com lol
Jonnerz & Conwest all I will say about the Gardai is when I rang them back & asked was the guy caught so I could press charges against him they told me they lost him on the Western Distributory Road. From where he came out of my estate there isn't even 1/4 of a mile of straight road left & they lost him on it! That's where the Garda told me they lost him. You work it out! So yay, lets all leave it in the hands of the Gardai why don't we?
Bol**ox to this namby pamby, Oh I don’t want to offend anybody with dangerous posts…oh…oh…sorry…sorry. GN and his little girl almost got creamed by these assholes. An eye for an eye (ok so maybe we can only half hang them since they didnt actually hit GN). Lets stop joking about Gardai in the rain, its true, but not funny! lets get out there and take action people!! AHHHHHHHH! who’s with me……..Lads……..Lads….(thought so).
lol, as far as i know galway nutter is a lady. and while i would not go so far as to hang them i would certainly like to keep these idiots confined to bicycles till they mature alittle.
sadly that wont happen.
In a proper country you won't get a provisional licence. You either have one or you don't. In Germany you need to pass theory test before you can even set foot in a car for your first driving lesson. Driving alone without licence? People get less for hitting old ladies over the head and stealing her handbag! Not even considered. Unthinkable.
Once you have done a set, minimum amount of driving lessons (including night and motorway) plus a first aid course, vehicle mechanics basics and a vision, general medical and mental health check (very important) will you be granted a full licence.
But this licence is on probation for two years and if you do anything wrong you have go back and do additional courses, tests and assessments.
Here any little so-and-so can write "driwars lisanze" with crayon onto the back of a milk carton and let her rip. Plus no enforcement and no political will to do anything (because the voters in this country do not exercise their voter power to FORCE politicians to act) means this will go on for the foreseeable future.
Unless people form voters committees that can say to politicians "we command x amount of votes and unless you want them to go elsewhere, you do what we want you to do, what we're PAYING you to do"
You must force these people of their sizable behinds, because they know that people vote a certain party by default, because their daddy and their granddaddy did. Party loyalty has to stop! Only if these people know that they're in an ejector seat and we have the finger on the button will they do as told.
Politicians don't care about road deaths, they only care about votes, so we have the power to MAKE them care!
Apologies. GN and her little girl …
OK John Smith you form the voters committee, and I will joine. OK?
…and I will desist in regard to hangings….for the moment.
…and I will learn to spell join too…
At least if that boyracer (and I still don't like the term) is an L driver he'll be off the road soon…
OK, where did I put the rope…?
while i agree about boy racers,it sounds like your brakes failed cos of worn brake pads. When did you last service your car?Last nct?last time it broke down?Your brakes failed cos YOU didnt look after your car not cos of some d**khead pulling out on you in mummies car.Think about that next time you go out with your child in the car.
No, what happened was I broke so hard the brake pads were ripped off! I have my car serviced regularly! It was in perfect working order. I put her in for service every 6 mths! She was going in after Christmas. It is rare that it happens, but it does happen! & if you read right it was not some "d**khead pulling out on you in mummies car" It was 2 little shits doing a handbreak turn in an estate where there are loads of kids on a corner where kids are always playing! Had those 2 F**** not come around the corner sideways I wouldn't have slammed on the breaks, the friction of doing that wouldn't have ripped my break pads off & I wouldn't have been put in danger! I have had that car 1 &1/2 years. I've done serious miles in her & she's never broken down on me because I do look after her! I have a full history on her!
So if you're standing up for your own kind please don't do it here! Little boy racers need to be removed from our roads! Had the guy hit us would you have come on here saying "Well if you hadn't been on the road in the first place it wouldn't have happened!" Very intelligent!
In my experience brake pads dont get ripped off no matter how hard you brake.Ive never seen or heard of it in all my 18 years as a mechanic.I have seen pads drop out cos they were past their limit though.Would you consider servicing more often especially if you do 'serious miles'.You should go by mileage not time. Also those pricks are not "my own kind",the sooner they are put off the road the better[hopefully with their ridiculous exhausts stuck where the sun dont shine].Mabye now the govt. have an enormous pay rise they can buy some balls and implement the 'l' laws and make the roads safer for the rest of us.
well Sham, I know where your coming from and I agree, but I have to say I know GN and her car is so well maintained, it shames me!! My bangar seems like its always in for a service, and you can never hav your car sevrviced enough, but honestly GN minds her car all the time, its well looked after, and iv been in her estate too, and the drivers have a lot to answer for, these boy racers, and I do like the term, what else are you gonna call them ,…'angles'? yeah hells angles maybe! iv seen these drive through her estate like its a race track, and the gardai do F*ck all!! im sick of it!
My friend has a good cure for dickheads speeding past his house.when he hears one coming he throws a football at the car, asshole gets a fright, jumps on brake, skids then stops.they usually get out shouting the odds so he suggests calling the feds so they can measure the skid marks.this ruse allied to the fact hes built like a brick shithouse results in mr. shumacher getting back in to mummies car and pissing off.
LOL!!! hahahaha that would do it alright!!
Sorry I have not replied before this but I've had family problem.
Anyway sham rogue, as I have said I really look after my car well. I trust my mechanic with my life & have done so quite a few times in my 30 years on this earth because he is my uncle/Godfather! He would never put mine or my daughters life in danger. What happened to me is rare, but it has happened to others before me. I have spoken to a few people in the car business & they have all either seen or heard about it happening. 1 of them did say to me that they had heard of it but didn't believe it was possible until I was speaking to him. So just because you are a mechanic for 18 years & you have not seen it does not mean it's not possible.
I like your friends idea of the football, but as Lette has said the ones in my estate don't give a s*** about the Gardai so if I throw a ball at their car I would have to sit up all night watching my car because I would have no windows in the morning.
As for the Government implementing the learner driver laws, what would this achieve? These lads didn't have "L" plates up! I firmly believe that learner drivers are not the main problem on our roads. As I have said in another post, I'm a learner driver & a bloody good 1!
Lette, your car gets you from Limerick to here & back again so it's not that bad. The skulls are keeping the boot in place.
Oh yeah.
All you can say is "boy racers" should suffer broken windscreens etc. And that you have your car maintained very well.
My opinion is:
1. Change your car mechanic. It might save your life.
2. Instead of all that ropes, stones etc (very primitive) maybe some constructive thinking? Maybe there is a reason why they are doing that on the road? Maybe there is no space to do it legally? In every Irish town you have place to play football, rugby etc and you have no problem with it. But when there's something new – ooooOOOHH!!!! Why not give those young people some space to do their "drifts", build a decent track (like a Watergrasshill one) and make money on it?? And here I don't mean 300 euros for 4 hours on Mondello which is so F****n' ridiculous expensive that everybody is doing it on the road. I mean affordable all-family entertainment. You must see my son's smile when we are doing donuts…
Drifter.
could agree more 200sx.BUT as i said in a previous post, plans to extend watergrasshill were scuppered by local objectors on grounds of noise.Do you want a little prick in mammies micra bouncing off the rev limiter all night next to your house?Does your son?The french govt.tackled young people dying on the paris ring road by building a race track. What does our crowd do?Thats right,f**k all.As for Mondello, dont get me started.Bunch of self important little napoleons who only want your money.3 hour drive to be f**ked around by these arseholes.Money grabbing bastards.By the way this is Ireland, affordable family entertainment does not exist here anymore.
200sx. I'm sorry, while I do agree with you that there should be somewhere for young up & coming rally drivers, coming from a family of rally enthusiasts I totally disagree with the idea that these idiots who make themselves out to be "Rally drivers" should be allowed to endanger myself, my family or friends! If they were true rally drivers they wouldn't think twice about doing things in a safe environment! If they are so interested in real rallying contact Rally Ireland here: http://www.rallyireland.org/
The problem is they're not into that, they're into causing trouble on the road for innocent people. I can not believe there is anyone out there dumb enough to think that this is a good thing!
As for your last statement, that says it all! Your level of intelligence is breath taking!
I hope whatever car you do use has adequate roll bars. If not I hope the doctors are very good at their job!
