I was travelling to Cork city from West Cork two weeks ago. It was a wednesday morning at around approximately 9.30am. I left Crookstown and proceeded to make my way onto the main Cork Macroom road. Everything was fine until I realised a thick fog was decending. After about ten minutes I realised that this ‘fog’ was not a naturally occuring phenomenon, it was being caused by a lorry carrying a load of lime. The load was uncovered and thus all of the cars behind this thick donkey, were covered in lime. When I turned on the windscreen cleaner to try and see out, the lime on my windscreen turned into plaster!! The driver of this lorry turned into a well known quarry at Garryhesta. So, I am asking is this legal? Is this safe? I reported this to the Gardai but as you all know I might aswell have told the cat.

So how does that work with the farmer down the road from me who drives his cows down the main road at peak time & the cow s**** on the road. Who gets done for that the farmer or the cow?
But in all seriousness don’t get me started on my car getting covered in crap. It’s so frustrating.
Dont start me on cowshite either! when it dries on the car its nearly impossible to get off. what the hell are those cows eating?
“might as well have told the cat”
The gardai can only really pursue it if you’re willing to make a statement and appear in court to give evidence based on that statement. otherwise their hands are tied.
