Two Cabs and a Cop Car!

Firstly i wish to say hello to all the viewers here.

A funny crash i spotted on Saturday while awaiting my bus to arrive outside the depot.

As my bus arrived there was a loud plastic/ tinny breaking sound with the screeching of rubber and the cops were on the scene instantly as i could see blue lights over the other rubberneckers!

From the cab of my bus i could see a cab had run the red light at Donnybrook church and (HOW IRONIC) another taxi had judged an early green light, you know the type slowing for the red awaiting a green with gear stick in hand. They both merged in the middle of the junction with T-Bone positioning and whats behind the Green light cab? A Cop car. The ideal witness in the ideal position.

But from the point of view of professional drivers, dismal standards shown to all. Not sure if passengers were onboard any of the Cabs?

This was only 8pm on the Saturday night, before they go totally mad in the early hours rushes!

The funniest/most unfortunate crash I ever saw (there were no injuries so I can joke about it) was an army jeep ploughing into the back of a Garda patrol car. To add to the driver’s woes, it was within sight of a Garda station. My view was obscured by the jeep and so it’s possible the car stopped suddenly, but visibility was excellent — it was about 4.30pm on a clear day — and surely you’d think of leaving extra distance when you’re behind a squad car!

Correct me if I’m wrong, but don’t the Gardai have no powers over soldiers? Isn’t that why they have Military Police?
